People from different cultures, all unite against pollution of marine litter along our beaches and sea. From Algeria to France, from Greece to Malta, from Portugal to Palestine and Israel, thousands of volunteers meet on for a clean sea.

IT – Clean-up the Med: dal 1995 Legambiente coordina associazioni, scuole e Istituzioni locali che dedicano un fine settimana del mese di maggio alla pulizia delle spiagge e dei siti naturali. Clean-up The Med è un’azione diffusa in 21 Paesi del Mediterraneo attraverso l’attività e l’organizzazione da parte di oltre 150 attori, questo il numero degli iscritti all’ultima edizione, che coordinano a loro volta istituzioni, scuole e società civile locale in una o più iniziative di pulizia e impegno civico e tutela ambientale. L’obiettivo principale della nostra campagna non è esclusivamente quello di rimuovere fisicamente i rifiuti ma anche sensibilizzare ed educare la collettività.
EN – Clean-up the Med: since 1995 Legambiente has been coordinating this important international campaign to clean up beaches and natural sites in May. Clean-up the Med involves 21 Mediterranean countries and over 150 organizations which coordinate institutions, schools, volunteers, citizens and local civil societies in order to clean up the coasts and natural reserves from litter of any sort generated by wrong human activities. The main purpose of our Campaign is not only that of physically removing waste but also raising awareness and educating the community.
FR – Clean-up the Med: à partir de 1995 Legambiente coordonne cette importante campagne de nettoyage des plages et des sites naturels pendant un fin de semaine de Mai. Le nettoyage des plages est une opération diffusée en 21 pays de la Méditerranée pour nettoyer les côtes et les réserves marines de déchets de toute sorte générés par les mauvaises activités humaines et implique plus de 150 participants avec les écoles, la société civile locale, les volontaires, les citoyens, les administrations publiques. Le principal objectif de notre campagne est donc non seulement celui d’enlever concrètement les déchets mais aussi de sensibiliser et d’éduquer la collectivité.
